Hi! I’m DJ.
I am drawn to almost all styles of Game Design, whether that’s systems, progression, rewards, level, narrative, combat, class design…you name it! I simply love games and the escape they can create for people. I’m very passionate about this industry, and have spent the majority of my development time creating RPGs, Roguelikes, side-scrollers or FPS’s. Currently I’m working on personal project which will house many RPG elements and themes, as that’s the best way for me to embrace my childhood-inner wizard!
I would love to work on an MMO or fantasy RPG one day, as that’s where my dream initially grew from.
My B.S. degree is in Game Design, which provided me a strong background everything from the psychology of play, rewards/systems design, level design, all the way to blueprinting and scripting in Unreal Engine.
While I have learned a lot of valuable skills throughout my years of academic and self-taught studies, one of the most important aspects of a valuable developer is about being a good communicator and team player. I bring talent and passion to the table, but also active listening, focused learning, a genuine drive to achieve, while supporting my team in their pursuits of achievement as well. I have a background in management and team development, and believe that the greatest asset we have are the people around us.
